Our Story

Mark Nisbett has always been passionate about the workplace, design, furniture and creating experiences to remember. However, finding the “right seat” in his career was paramount. In 2018, harnessing his 25+ years of experience on the client side of corporate real estate and facilities management, Mark founded PPS with a vision to make the client’s experience of workplace strategy and furnishings procurement easy.

Headquartered in Hartford, CT, PPS provides workplace solutions and associated services for customers across the corporate, technology, government, and non-profit sectors. Aligning with Haworth as our primary manufacturer-partner, both organizations were now able to establish a strong presence and commitment to Connecticut. PPS’ coverage spans the entire state of Connecticut and with Haworth’s reach, PPS can also service clients regionally and nationally.

PPS has been MBE certified since 2018 and is a proud member of the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC). Our goal is to partner with corporations assisting them with their supplier diversity and enterprise initiatives achieving diverse spending in various categories such as commercial furniture.

In 2018, PPS developed an affiliate partnership (equity investment) with Environments at Work, a Boston-based Haworth dealer, and its subsidiary, Integrated at Work, to provide back office and infrastructure support. This shared services model allows us to offer our customers a centralized, efficient, and consistent level of service.

In 2021, PPS was awarded Haworth’s esteemed “Best in Class” designation which recognizes dealers that perform in the top 10% nationally based on a rigorous best business practices and client satisfaction evaluation.

As the company grows, PPS is proud of its proven track record of customer satisfaction. We continually develop the people, processes, and tools needed to address the ever-changing needs of its clients. During complex times, workplaces have changed, and so have the needs of our partners – business leaders, architects, and designers. Using creative and cost-effective solutions, we proudly deliver workspaces that help solve business challenges and reflect brand promise.

Mark is a progressive leader who puts heart and passion into his business. 

“I grew up in the inner city and took advantage of a lot of programs offered to inner-city youth. At the time, I never understood where the funding and opportunities came from. I then learned more about how companies’ contributions matter and benefit people in the community. I always had it in my mind that if I had the opportunity to contribute to the community, I would pay it forward as much as I could since I was at the receiving end growing up.”
